DATE:  10 NOVEMBER 2023  WEEK:  6 TOPIC : FERTILIZER APPLICATION AND WATERING INTRODUCTION:   For this week, we are learn about the fertilizer application and watering. Organic and inorganic is a common type of fertilizer that we usually use. The function of fertilizer are additional substance supplied to the crops to increase their productivity it also giving an a nutrient for the crops to growth healthy. These fertilizer is contains by three main essential nutrients which is Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. In this fieldwork session, we are giving the task to apply the fertilizer on Cacao trees by using the NPK BLUE 12-12-17. We starting with do some clearing from the weed around the Cacao trees about a few meter and put the NPK BLUE around the trees that free from the weed. After that, we also learn about the watering process. There had four watering type which is manual, sprinkle, drip and capillary. Manual and sprinkle watering is  common use for the plantation.  OBJECTIVE: - T

  DATE:  3 NOVEMBER 2023  WEEK:  5 TOPIC : SEED HANDLING INTRODUCTION: For this week task, we are doing seed handling which is we learn how to doing the seed treatment. A day before fieldwork session, our lecture has been asked us to collect the coffee bean at the coffee plot for the seed treatment purpose. The function of the seed treatment is to induces early germination and prevents seed-borne pathogens and pests. We are doing the seed treatment by the method of soaking. The coffee been has been peeled until we get the seeds and soaked it into the fungicide that has been known as a Thiram and also added some water to make it as a solution after finish the soaking process we put the seed into the polybag that had a mixture soil that we made last week for the germination. After that, we moved to our Plot Angkat which the nursery to do the replanting process.
